I’ve seen them in use, but always balked at the expense of a rod pod. Besides it would just be another piece of unnecessary crap to drag along on trips, adding to the weight of kit bags, rods, bait and everything else that you tend to drag along. I have previously made a mini-review of the Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 7000i C3. During that review I wrote that I have not come across much if any negative about this reel, other than it being made in China. Except “Rob” on the World Sea Fishing forum, who advised me that the 7000i series of reels from Abu Garcia had a weak bait clicker, and that sooner, rather than later, I would get to experience it.
