My first night session

5fusdkwjb4 This will be my first season winter fishing from the shore. The place I reported about here is good, but in wintertime, with ice and snow it becomes very dangerous to fish alone. To easy to slip and slide into the sea.
So I have been looking for a dock outside town to fish from, and I found it, just a kilometer from my favourite mark. A small dock sitting by an abandoned warehouse. Its only 10×10 meters, but plenty of space for me, and best of all…no people around to bother me while fishing.
Checked it out earlier in the week. And within 10 minutes I got two baby codlings on the surfrod and a few smallish green saithe on the lure rod.
Best of all, it’s 10 minutes from home and when it gets wintery cold….I can sit in the comfort of my car waiting for the rod tips to start nodding.
But I also learned a few things on this trip. First I will definatley need a pair of headlights. And next I need a drop net, as hoisting saithe with their rotten mouths up the 2-3 meters to the deck, is not very feasable. But I got a few tips on a Brittish web forum on how to make one, with some added advice from a Norwegian counterpart. So watch this space for a tutorial.
